The AI Builder / Tyler Hunt

Build the system. Then let the model live in it.

I ship software that operators can run. AI is in the stack when it earns the slot — not because the landing page needed a glow.

01Practice

What The AI Builder is

TheAiBuildr is not a SaaS dashboard and not a chatbot wrapper. It is the public face of a practice: design it, host it, keep it up. The domain is theaibuildr.com.

The system ships

A model in a notebook is not the job. The job is the dashboard, the API, the deploy, the backup, and the person on nights who has to use it.

Host what you cannot rent

Operations data does not belong in someone else’s multi-tenant demo. Coolify, self-hosted Appwrite, your metal — when the work is real, the stack should be yours.

AI is a component

Useful when it sits inside a workflow an operator already has. Useless as a costume on a CRUD app. The AI Builder means building around the model, not pitching it.

Lab means it is still being shaped. Client work stays with the client.

An operations dashboard for well and field workflows. Built for people who already have a job, not for a product tour.

Tooling around rig-side data and the messy parts of moving it into something an operator can actually read.

FastAPI production starter

A production-shaped API template: Docker, env split, auth-ready backend. The direction is self-hosted data — not another Cloud vendor lock.

Streamlit on GCP

Internal tools that live on real infrastructure. If it only runs on a laptop, it is not in production yet.

03About

Tyler Hunt

I build for people who already have a job: field ops, internal tools, APIs, the unglamorous software that has to stay up on a Tuesday.

The current stack for this site is Nuxt, Content, and a Coolify box. Appwrite is next — self-hosted, not Cloud — and this frontend is written so empty env vars are a valid production state.

If you want a demo that only works in a keynote, I am the wrong person. If you want something you can SSH into, we can talk.

This site ships without a backend

Content first, Appwrite later. The public site should not wait on a console that does not exist yet.

05Contact

Have a real problem, not a pitch deck.

Email is enough. Tell me what has to run, who has to use it, and what you already host.
